Michael Bulaong studied music theory and composition at the University of the Philippines.
He is a composer, arranger, keyboardist, and music technologist for different projects such as commercial albums, corporate productions and exclusive recordings. He has also handled musical direction and has given workshops to many instrumental and vocal groups for concerts and production numbers.
He is actively working with instrumental groups such as the Manila String Machine and Musica Chiesa of the Philippine Jesuit Music Ministry. He is also one of the founding members and resident arranger of the vocal groups, Gala Quintet and 1415. He was a member of various organizations such as the UP Voice and Music Theater Guild (UPVMTG), UP Composers of New Music (UPCoNeMus), Manila Composers Lab (MCL) and Asian Composers League – Philippines (ACL-PH).
An alumnus of the UP Concert Chorus (UPCC), he is also a baritone singer with a number of productions under his belt.
